ENNOH, with support from the EIB, developed a model assessing the financial shortfall between required and expected revenues from interconnection point bookings across 10 hydrogen supply corridors. While the results are indicative and depend on assumptions regarding demand, capacity bookings and tariffs, they highlight potential financing challenges for early hydrogen infrastructure. ENNOH therefore reiterates the urgent need for EU de-risking mechanisms to ensure affordable tariffs, encourage investment decisions and support the development of a competitive European hydrogen market.
